Characteristics of Class:
Under general supervision of the Planning and Environmental Services Director, an employee in this position is responsible for the administration of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) Feedlot Program. An employee in this classification responds to directions from the MPCA, County Board, Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment and the Planning and Environmental Services Director to enforce the Winona County Zoning Ordinance and all associated ordinances and regulations and the adherence to and the promotion of the County Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Water Management Plans.

An employee in this position assists feedlot operators in the development of feedlot management plans and implementation of best management practices; performs public relations activities including speaking to community groups and participating in educational workshops; develops and maintains a computerized feedlot data base; assists with implementation of the County Comprehensive Water Plan and Wetland Conservation Program. Work is performed in an office or in the field under conditions causing moderate to high risk of discomforts.

  • Coordination/administration of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Feedlot Program, including budgeting and administration responsibilities for the County Program Base Grant and other grant initiatives in which Winona County is an active participant.
  • Review engineering plan sets for livestock feedlot facilities and structures to ensure compliance with feedlot rule requirements and reviews manure/nutrient management plans and records to ensure compliance with feedlot rule requirements.
  • Coordinate hydrogen sulfide monitoring of feedlots and investigate emergency manure related spills or runoff events and assists with the cleanup oversight. Provide communications and documentation with agency, as required.
  • Provide permit application forms and assistance to applicants, maintain a computerized permitting database and inventory consisting of permits and property records.
  • Administer the County Feedlot Ordinance; recommend ordinance amendments where appropriate.
  • Receive and review completed applications and conduct necessary site inspections and analysis; check for compliance with relevant County ordinances and State statutes; and recommend abatement measures to mitigate any identified pollution hazard.
  • Work closely with the Winona County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) to evaluate and interpret data to determine the potential pollution hazard from individual feedlots; evaluate and interpret the individual feedlot data to determine potential pollution hazard on a County and watershed-wide basis; determine the degree of pollution hazard or potential pollution hazard with the use of the FLeval & Minnfarm computer model.
  • Develop and promote education programs that increase the public's awareness of feedlot issues and the best management practices for feedlots.
  • Develop and implement a program to monitor the operation of all permitted feedlots. Maintain a record of all complaints and the action(s) taken. Work to achieve compliance, including legal action in conjunction with the County Attorney's Office.
  • Assist in the administration of the County Land Use and Natural Resource Ordinances: assist in coordinating activities to implement or amend the comprehensive water plan; assist in the implementation of the Wetland Conservation Act of 1991.
  • Investigate inquiries and complaints pertinent to the assigned programs.
  • Consult and coordinate with other government agencies including SWCD, MN Department of Ag, and/or the Department of Natural Resources as needed.
  • Assist the Planning and Environmental Services Director with receiving, preparing and forwarding of applications and petitions to the County Board of Commissioners, the Planning Commission and the Board of Adjustment.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Characteristics of Class:
Subject to the direction and control of the Veteran Service Officer, an employee in this class assists veterans or their families, administrators, executors, guardians or next of kin (“clients”) by determining eligibility, developing claims files, and presenting claims for benefits administered by the US and MN DVAs and like-agencies. JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Service Technicians apply electrical and electronic theory and related job knowledge to troubleshoot, test, service and repair fire systems and security systems (including intrusion, CCTV, and access control). Conduct day-to-day interactions with customers and coworkers in a manner that exemplifies and supports the Core Values of Custom Alarm.

Essential Functions

  1. Service fire and security systems to meet applicable standards and codes. Respond to service calls as assigned. Test and inspect systems upon completion of service to assure quality and proper operation.
  2. Assist customers with technical questions regarding the design, layout, and operation of systems. Provide training as needed.
  3. Promote upgrades, system additions, and enhancements with our customers to keep them aware of the latest technology.
  4. Communicate customer account information with the Customer Experience Center. This includes zones, troubles, supervisories, and placing an account out of service and back online.
  5. Complete documentation and update diagrams clearly outlining any changes or special instructions (update prints) as a result of service provided. Submit accurate paperwork and update time keeping records immediately upon completion of service calls to allow administrative and quality assurance follow-up.
  6. Assure proper maintenance and accountability for assigned tools and inventory. If a company vehicle is provided, it is the responsibility of the associate to keep the vehicle clean and well maintained.
  7. Available for rotating "on-call" schedule to perform after hours service to meet the needs of our customers. This rotation is shared among the technicians in the installation and service departments.
  8. Observe and comply with safety regulations and maintenance procedures. Recommend improvements to management.
  9. Attend job related training opportunities to continually refresh and update knowledge. Assure required certificates and licenses are kept current. Recertification training, registration and payment, records, and CEU’s are the responsibility of the associate to coordinate and track. Associate must keep abreast of training opportunities needed to fulfill their annual requirement. Communicate these opportunities to the PM and/or Scheduling Coordinator as necessary.
  10. Be available to assist in all areas of service and installation as needed.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Most of the time is spent standing and walking. Extensive sitting may be necessary when traveling to and from jobs. Movements such as stooping, kneeling, and crawling are required. Climbing ladders and stairs are key elements to this position. Heights range from zero to 25 feet on a regular basis. On occasion, installations require working at heights up to 50 feet. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects such as ladders, spools of wire, and boxes are necessary. Weights generally do not exceed 50 pounds but may range from 50 to 100 pounds on occasion. Reaching overhead is a vital aspect to performing this position, with reaching in front of the body occasionally necessary. Simultaneous and repetitive movements of hands, wrists, and fingers are required. Audio, visual, and verbal functions are vital aspects of performing this job. Excellent color vision is necessary in order to identify wiring color codes. Driving a company vehicle is required daily. Driving and operating other machinery and tools such as, a genie lift, motorized lift, drills, power saws, meters, etc., is necessary.

Working Conditions
  1. Requires working in all environmental conditions (both indoors and outdoors) with some exposure to dust, insulation, noise, and heat or cold (MN weather)

Electrical Maintenance Technician-2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY


2nd shift The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for electrical installation of equipment in a manufacturing setting. This person may be required to direct the work of contractors who are conducting electrical installation of equipment. This person would build and install control boxes on new or refurbished equipment. This person may be required to help maintenance teams solve production maintenance related issues.
The Technician routinely performs preventative maintenance on all equipment and components to ensure the continued safe, efficient, and effective operations of equipment used in the facility. This position also assists with maintaining parts inventory, organizing, and maintaining the electrical maintenance shop, as well as inspecting and diagnosing malfunctions and breakdowns and performs repairs. This position must be able to take a proactive approach to preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability.

Work Schedule:
2nd shift hours: 3:00pm to 11:00pm M-F
Overtime as required including weekends. Employees are assigned to a rotating A or B weekend schedule.

Training will take place on 1st shift. Travel by personal vehicle or company vehicle to other buildings in the Winona area required. Must have clean driving record. (Note: There may be other opportunities or requirements to travel to other US facilities periodically for special projects. Travel pay and per diem included.)

Responsibilities
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and electrical code specifications and schematics to effectively troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment.
  • Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, control devices, and equipment.
  • Diagnoses, determines cause, and repairs malfunctioning equipment using test equipment.
  • Performs required repairs (electrical and/or mechanical)
  • Performs preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Operates forklift and scissor lift, as needed.
  • Participates in training, retraining, and continual improvement processes.
  • Has working knowledge of NEC and wiring methods.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:  

This Engineer Intern (part-time) role provides comprehensive support to the engineering team, focusing on CAD modeling, manufacturing documentation, and project management. At ADDMAN you’ll be part of a rapidly growing world class engineering team, commonly interfacing internally with program managers, materials and process engineers, product development, quality, technicians, assemblers, machinists, and leadership.    

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

CAD – modeling and detailing 

  • Create models as required based on project requirements.  
  • Create detailed drawings for manufactured components. 
  • Follow and use company templates for detailing. 
  • Use industry standards where applicable. 

Manufacturing Engineering Support 

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, setup sheets, inspection sheets and other supporting documents. 
  • Assist with part number entry, bill of material entry, maintenance of routers using Global Shop (ERP). 
  • Offer input to engineering discussions and decisions to ensure that engineering is complete before manufacturing begins.

  • May develop tooling design and redesign with supervisors to reduce manufacturing costs and/or improve quality.
