Mission

Foundation - ScholarshipsThe Minnesota State College Southeast Foundation exists to support students and to sustain and grow the college through philanthropy, stewardship, and community development.

Purpose

The Foundation is a 501c(3) organization governed by an all-volunteer board of directors.

The purpose of the Foundation is to promote opportunities for the citizens, businesses, and organizations within its service area to provide cash donations, gifts and bequests, real estate, and other equipment and supplies (hereafter referred to as contributions) to the Foundation in order that it may fulfill its mission to support Minnesota State College Southeast.

The use and distribution of contributions to the Foundation shall permit/provide:

  • Student scholarships
  • Expenditure of contributions, within the constraints of donor(s) directives, to purchase property, equipment and supplies for the College in accordance with the Foundation’s Purpose and Mission
  • Financial support of faculty and staff in program development to the extent that is possible and prudent; and
  • Support of the operational costs of the Foundation as authorized by the Board of Directors and within the constraints set forth by the donor(s)

The Foundation was founded in July of 1999 with the merger of the Red Wing Technical College Foundation and the Winona Technical College Foundation. The Foundation raises funds through alumni appeals, business drives, and special events.
