SNAP Plus Program

SNAP Plus Program

The SNAP Plus Program is here to provide you with resources and support so you can focus on your education and get ready for a career that you love! You will work one-on-one with the Student Life Coordinator to create a personalized path towards graduation with the goal of helping you move directly into the workforce. In addition to helpful guidance to meet your personal needs, you will have access to financial assistance to help with school costs including transportation, required program supplies/equipment/uniforms, textbooks & training materials, costs of program/licensure tests and more!

Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at Minnesota State College Southeast in an eligible program (most AS or AAS degrees, certificates, and diploma programs)
  • Currently enrolled in Minnesota SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)
  • Not receiving MFIP (Minnesota Family Investment Program)
  • Monthly check-ins with the Student Life Coordinator

SNAP Food Benefits Eligibility

Nationwide, SNAP programs are under-utilized by college students even though it is basically like an additional form of financial aid you can eat! SNAP benefits are accessed through an EBT debit card at many places including grocery stores, farmers markets, department stores, online retailers, convenience stores, and more!

If you are not currently registered with MN SNAP, check to see if you are eligible right now!
