Textbook Rentals

Textbook rentals are now available at your Minnesota State College Southeast bookstore! The college has partnered with MBS Textbook Exchange to provide rentals on a number of titles. MBS Textbook Exchange reviewed the college's adoption list and let us know which titles had rental options available. If you are considering renting textbooks, please keep the following in mind:

• Most rentals are for liberal arts courses.
• The rental period for textbooks is limited to one semester, so you should not choose the rental option for textbooks that you need for longer than one semester.
• Rental books are due back on the last day of the semester.  A $25.00 non-return fee will be added to the student account if they miss the deadline.
• If the rental textbook(s) is lost, stolen, in unacceptable condition, or not returned by the above deadline, a fee will be added to the student account equal to the difference between the purchase price of the textbook and the fee paid for the rental.  
• Textbooks cannot have ripped pages, excessive highlighting or water damage; any cd's that came with the text must accompany it when returned.
• Please inspect the rental textbook(s) to ensure there is minimal or no writing and/or highlighting and no water damage before completing the rental.
• Any identifying stickers/labels on the textbook may not be removed.
• Unpaid charges on the student account will subject to the same 'holds' and as unpaid tuition and collection of the fees will be handled in the same manner.
• The rental fee is only refundable if the book is returned during the drop/add period plus one business day. A receipt must accompany the return.
