Your Southeast Story

What's your Southeast story? Whether you were a student, parent, employee, or friend of the college back in the days when it was called the "Vo-Tech" or became part of our community since we became Minnesota State College Southeast in 2016, we'd like to hear from you!

During our 50 & 75 Anniversary Years, we will be publishing stories of the past in our social media, on our website, and in local newspapers.

Here are some questions to get you started:

  • When were you associated with the college?
  • What was your role?
  • What did you teach or study?
  • What was the impact of Southeast on your life?

You can email [email protected] with your memories - or better still, fill out our Southeast Story form. Be sure to include your name and contact information so we can reach out to you for more information.

A Southeast Story

Calvin Jones wrote us from the US Virgin Islands: "The thing I remember most about Red Wing is the love that I felt at the school. Gene Beckwith and John Huth, my teachers in Band Instrument Repair made me feel so welcomed and so involved. This was the first time in my life that I could say that I loved school. Coming from the Virgin Islands to Red Wing was challenging but performing with the Sheldon Theater Brass Band and other experiences changed my life forever. I am still in the BIR field some 30 years later and I am still in love." -- Calvin Jones, Class of '92
