Graduation
Graduation and commencement are two separate events. Graduation is the process by which Minnesota State College Southeast officially confers a degree to a learner. Commencement is the ceremony which publicly recognizes those learners who have graduated or will soon graduate.
Commencement
Our Commencement Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 3 pm at Winona State University. More information
What is the process to receive your certificate, diploma or degree?
- Review your Degree Audit Report (DARS) in eServices. The DARS needs to state: "All requirements complete-in progress courses used" or "All requirements identified below have been met."
- Complete and submit the online Application for Graduation Form.
- Complete the Career Services Registration Form (PDF) and return to [email protected]. The college is required by Minnesota State to follow up on all graduates. Please expect to be contacted by our Career Services Office or let us know if you have found employment before you graduate.
- If you received Financial Aid, expect to be contacted by the Financial Aid Office regarding required Federal Loan Exit Counseling. Before you graduate, federal regulations require that you complete an exit counseling session. Once completed, the Financial Aid Office will be notified.
- Step 1: Access exit counseling at: https://studentaid.gov/
- Step 2: Log in with your FAFSA username and password. Click on Exit Counseling.
Participation in commencement does not imply or assure degree conferral. Degrees are conferred when all requirements have been met.
If you need to change your graduation date to a later semester or have additional questions, please contact the Registrar's Office at the campus from which you will be graduating.
