You can use the ReadSpeaker TextAid functionalities on web pages in two different ways: by either using the ReadSpeaker TextAid Web Reader tool or, if you use the Google Chrome browser and you have a ReadSpeaker TextAid 'Complete' subscription, by adding ReadSpeaker TextAid for Chrome to your browser.
To add the tool to your web browser, please follow the instructions below. The tool is added as a "Bookmark" in your web browser. When you have successfully added it to your Bookmarks, you just need to click it to start the TextAid Web Reading tool.
When you have opened the TextAid Web Reader toolbar, all you need to do is to select the text that you wish to have read and click on the “Play” button in the floating toolbar.
It runs on Windows and Mac computers as well as leading smartphones and tablets.
Important: It is required that you are logged in to your TextAid account for the Web Reader to work.

Please note that on Chrome for Android, you may have to type the name of the bookmarklet (TextAid Web Reader) in the address field. When it appears in the suggestion list, you click on its name.
Instructions for ReadSpeaker TextAid for Chrome
ReadSpeaker TextAid for Chrome is a Chrome extension which speech-enables web pages, Google Docs and Microsoft Word Online pages in the Google Chrome browser. It also provides writing assistance tools for Google Docs and Microsoft Word Online pages.
To add the extension to your browser, go to ReadSpeaker TextAid for Chrome in the Google Chrome store and click the 'Add to Chrome' button.
The extension will be added and you will see the ReadSpeaker icon on your Chrome toolbar. Clicking this icon will display a toolbox, including a player and several feature buttons. The toolbox will remain active until you click on the close button.
