Southeast Technical will host a Charting the Future (CTF) Gallery Walk on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, from 10 am to 1 pm in Room 318 on the Red Wing Campus. Charting the Future for a Prosperous Minnesota is a collaborative process designed by Minnesota State Colleges and Universities to develop specific actions to better serve its 435,000 students, strengthen its colleges and universities, and protect its unique character and autonomy.
The open-house style event is designed to provide students, faculty, staff, and community members the opportunity to react to the concepts and themes proposed by four Charting the Future implementation teams: Student Success, Diversity, Comprehensive Workplace Solutions, and System Incentives & Rewards. Everyone is welcome to attend; representatives will be on hand to answer questions and encourage feedback.
"Gallery Walk" is a term used in education circles to describe a teaching method that gets students out of their seats and moving as they learn about, and respond to, the topic they are studying. In the Charting the Future Gallery Walk, posters prepared by the four implementation teams will be presented in a gallery layout. Visitors can walk through the gallery, ask questions, and provide immediate feedback.
Please mark your calendar and plan to stop by on November 4 to experience the Charting the Future Gallery Walk at Southeast Technical. To learn more about Charting the Future, visit the Charting the Future blog or southeastmn.one/CTF.
