Health Foundations: 3 health field credits, only $75

Bridges2HealthcareInterested in exploring a health career? Enrolling in Southeast Technical’s Health Foundations course is an excellent way to see if the health field is right for you. Funded in part by the Bridges2Healthcare grant, Health Foundations will be offered beginning this fall semester on both the Red Wing and Winona campuses. Through this course, students earn 3 credits for only $75—a huge savings!

New program for fall 2012: Medical Laboratory Technician

Medical Laboratory TechnicianSoutheast Technical is excited to announce a new addition to the college’s allied health programs for fall 2012 enrollment. The Medical Laboratory Technician program, which offers an A.A.S. degree and a certificate in phlebotomy, will prepare students to work in a laboratory setting and perform procedures that aid in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Pursuing Southeast Technical’s Medical Laboratory Technician degree is a great option for students who have an interest in science and math and want to work as an integral part of a health care team. The job outlook for medical laboratory technicians is excellent, with an expected 16% increase in job openings between 2009 and 2019, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
