Brenda StelterBrenda Stelter graduated from the secretarial/clerical program at Southeast Technical (then Red Wing Area Vocational-Technical Institute) in 1983, continuing her studies by earning an A.A.S. degree in Supervisory Management in 1997. She earned a B.S. in Business Management from Cardinal Stritch University in 1999 and a B.S. in Marketing from Concordia University in 2001.

The owner of Anchor Promotions, Apparel & Signage in Red Wing, Brenda has been in business since August 2004, assisting clients with promotional products, branded apparel, signs, banners, decals, cut vinyl, signage and graphic design. Her outstanding commitment to personal customer service has helped her stand out in this highly competitive industry.

Brenda is widely appreciated for her service to the community. She was named "Volunteer of the Year" by the Red Wing Chamber of Commerce in 2013 and is Ambassador Chair for 2014. She serves on the board of Red Wing Downtown Main Street and is a member of Lake City Chamber of Commerce, Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce, and Business Network International - Rivertown Referrals.

Brenda was nominated for the Outstanding Alumni Award by Evy Wedde, Academic Support for Liberal Arts & Sciences at Southeast Technical. According to Evy, "Brenda recently visited the college for a special event, and when she spoke about her education here I was struck by her passion for education and her commitment to lifelong learning. She expressed her gratitude to Southeast Technical for opening up avenues for her success. It seemed fitting that she should be recognized for her accomplishments in business and the service in the community."

Brenda has always been motivated to advance her career by seeking out education opportunities. "I first earned my secretarial/clerical certificate, and returned to school after gap of many years. At the time I was working for Citizens Insurance, and they were very supportive of education, so that helped me earn a Supervisory Management at Southeast Technical. After that, I continued to work full time, taking night classes as I went on to study business and marketing. There is always something more you can learn!"

Brenda has experienced all three sides of the business - starting out as a customer who needed marketing products, and then being an account representative for Norwood, and now as a distributor who continues to work closely with Norwood and many other suppliers. "I hope my business, Anchor, will serve the community as an 'anchor' for all of their communications needs," she says.
