Lundblad looks to steady the ship: MSC Southeast's interim president to focus on students, partnerships

Larry Lundblad wants to help Minnesota State College Southeast grow its relationships with area businesses, stabilize its enrollment through retention and recruitment, and better serve its students by reaffirming support for key programs.
And he has just 17 months to do it.
“It’s going to take a lot of communication, a lot of listening and learning,” said Lundblad, who was named Southeast’s interim president last week, and who laid out his priorities Thursday during a forum with lawmakers, school officials and interested community members.
“The folks I’ve talked with in the community are very enthusiastic about this school — they want to support it and see it succeed,” added Lundblad, previously the president of Central Lakes College in Brainerd. “There’s a sense of urgency and a number of areas that need to be addressed quickly. We’ll do that, but we’ll need everyone … to be engaged and enthusiastic.”
