WDN: Pelowski, Miller weigh in on Winona schools: Legislators say district must adapt to succeed

Winona Area Public Schools should consider merging with a technical college, perhaps nearby Minnesota State College Southeast, and should invest more time pursuing permanent funding streams for district programs.

That’s according to state Rep. Gene Pelowski and state Sen. Jeremy Miller, who met with the Winona public school board Thursday to share their thoughts on the upcoming legislative session and on the state of district affairs.
