Minnesota State College Southeast is offering 16 $2,500 scholarships to new students pursuing degrees in high demand areas.
The grant, part of Minnesota State's Workforce Development Scholarship program, will provide 16 students that enroll in "high growth, high demand" career areas in the 2018-19 school year with scholarships.
Those career areas include manufacturing, health care and information technology, according to MSC Southeast. At MSC Southeast, that would include the Industrial Technology, Practical Nursing, and Cyber and Information Security programs.

January 10, 2018 -- To help employers in southeast Minnesota find skilled, well-educated employees in manufacturing, health care and information technology, a new scholarship program has been developed to encourage students to get a college education in these fields.
Thanks to the Minnesota Workforce Development Scholarship program, Minnesota State College Southeast will be able to award 16 $2,500 scholarships to qualifying students who are starting college in fall of 2018. The deadline for to apply for the scholarship is March 1, 2018.
These scholarships are targeted to new students entering the college in high-growth, high-demand careers. Examples of such programs at MSC Southeast include industrial technology, practical nursing and cyber & information security.
