Red Wing native Stephanie Goetz to give keynote speech at annual Professional Women's Leadership Event

(Red Wing, MN) March 27, 2017 -- The Professional Women's Leadership Event is Red Wing's signature event honoring business and professional women in our community. On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, this year's event takes place from 11 am to 3:30 pm at Treasure Island Event Center in Red Wing, MN.

The cost of registration is $45 until March 31; $55 April 1 and after. To make reservations, visit www.southeastmn.one/leadership or call 651-385-6320.

Highly anticipated this year is a keynote address by Red Wing native Stephanie Goetz. Her topic is "The Beauty of Struggle and How to Build Resiliency and Inner Strength." Imagine hearing the heart wrenching, numbing words "Your brother has died" not once, but twice before the age of 18. Stephanie Goetz, an award-winning news anchor, philanthropist, mental health advocate, and singer, will walk you through the devastation of losing her two older brothers and numerous other family members and how she picked herself up to live a meaningful life.

The Professional Women's Leadership Event opens at 11 am with a Business Expo. Over the lunch hour, area women will showcase today's trendsetting fashions in a fashion show sponsored by Maurices. Throughout the day, drawings will be held for prizes donated by community businesses; the grand prizes are drawn at 3:15 pm and the Business Expo closes as 3:30. Jennifer Staley, Development and Community Relationships Coordinator from The Sheldon Theatre, will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

The Professional Women's Leadership Event is sponsored by Minnesota State College Southeast, Express Employment Professionals, KWNG Radio, Maurices, Red Wing Area Chamber of Commerce, The Sheldon Theatre, and Star Tech Computing.
