"It's really a kind of a pump primer," Paul Moe said last week, "we get it going."

Moe serves as executive director of the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership (MJSP). He spoke at a ceremony in Spring Grove last Thursday, commemorating a new $260,000 grant award from MJSP.

Over the next two and a half years, 194 existing and new employees at Gundersen Tweeten Healthcare Center in Spring Grove and Gundersen Harmony Community Healthcare are expected to benefit from a new job skills training program. Minnesota State College - Southeast Technical will collaborate with both healthcare providers to develop a long-term care certification curriculum.

The businesses will contribute $440,323 in matching support to the effort, while the "grantee," MSC-Southeast Technical, will provide $38,939 towards the partnership, bringing the grand total to $739,262.
