Republican Eagle: SE Tech seeking input

Come fall, Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical could look - and sound - different.
The college, which has campuses in Red Wing and Winona, submitted an application to the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system to offer an Associate of Arts.
The inclusion of the A.A. degree would expand the college's mission, making it a comprehensive community and technical college, setting in motion a number of changes to be addressed, including the potential for a new name.
"Southeast Technical belongs to the Winona and Red Wing communities - indeed to the entire region - and we treasure the role we play serving your educational needs," said Southeast Technical President Dorothy Duran. "For that reason, as the administration, faculty and staff work towards expanding our programming and updating our mission, we are seeking public suggestions for a new name for the college."
