Republican Eagle: SE Tech crafting a vision

Dorothy Duran, Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical president, said Thursday that after sharing input from both Winona and Red Wing communities with faculty and staff, and taking staff input as well, she plans to roll out the college's new strategic plan sometime in August.

The plan, which will set the college's course through 2019, needs to take community input into consideration to modify what the college does and be responsive to community needs, she said at an open forum Thursday at the Red Wing campus.

"This will become the basis of our strategic plan," Duran said.

The overriding theme of the discussion was collaboration -- drawing in different groups and letting people see the potential for community involvement.
