Red Wing, MN (February 10, 2016) — Minnesota State College - Southeast Technical is home to nationally recognized programs in violin repair, band instrument repair, and guitar repair and building. The college’s Student Music Association is hosting a Musical Swap Meet on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 10 am to 3 pm on the Red Wing campus (308 Pioneer Road, Red Wing, MN).

Students as well as external vendors will be on hand to display, sell, and trade new and used musical instruments, accessories, tools, and supplies. The public is welcome to attend; there is no charge for admission.

“It’s a great place to browse around and look for all kinds of things that musicians and people who work on musical instruments might need,” says second year guitar program student Nick Kehoe (Madison, WI). “Plus you never know when you might find a great bargain! ”

The college has a stock of fine tonewoods, pre-cut inlays, fingerboards, and tuning machines which will be available for sale. Proceeds from the sale of these items will benefit the Roger Benedict Memorial Scholarship, which supports students in the violin and guitar repair and building programs at the college.
