Southeast Technical names Communications Director 

Red Wing, Minn. — Minnesota State College – Southeast Technical has named Katryn Conlin as Communications Director effective August 1, 2013. In this newly-created position, she will serve as the point person for the College’s media relations, manage content for its website, and provide support in marketing-related efforts. Katryn will be based on the Red Wing campus, extending the College’s marketing and communications presence across both the Red Wing and Winona campuses.

“It is with great pleasure that I introduce Katryn Conlin, our new marketing and communications specialist,” says Nate Emerson, Vice President of Student Affairs. “Katryn comes to us with more than 20 years of experience in marketing and has worked with radio, TV, newspaper, print media and web design. Southeast Technical is proud to have her as part of our team!”

Conlin comes to Southeast Technical with an extensive background in non-profit and arts communications. For the past 17 years, she has worked for VocalEssence, the Minneapolis-based choral music organization led by Philip Brunelle. Since moving to Red Wing in 2007, she has also worked as a free-lance designer, writer and consultant to numerous artists, musicians, small businesses and non-profits. Conlin majored in history and studied French and English literature at Carleton College in Northfield, Minn.
