Post Bulletin: MSC-SE unveils manufacturing education program in area high schools

CHATFIELD -- This is how to bring career and technical education to high school students.
Officials from Minnesota State College-Southeast, Chatfield High School and Cannon Falls High School gathered Wednesday in Chatfield to discuss the present and future of SLAM: Students Learning Advanced Manufacturing.
In its first year, the program, paid for with a three-year National Science Foundation grant of just less than $442,000, is designed to establish advanced manufacturing education hubs in the Upper Mississippi River basin. MSC-SE is the hub, and the two high schools are the first two spokes from that hub.
