Republican-Eagle: Students and staff can select pronoun preference at Minnesota State College Southeast 

Gender identity is one concern for creating more inclusive campuses in Red Wing and Winona, dean of students says.

When two people meet, one of the first things they do is exchange names, the preferred proper nouns representing how they would like to be addressed. Should they also exchange pronoun preferences at the same time? 

Josiah Litant thinks they should. As dean of students at Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing and Winona, Litant has seen an increased awareness of pronoun preference recently, especially since Merriam-Webster dictionary named "they" and its use as a singular, non-binary pronoun as 2019 Word of the Year.
