Maryland Independent: McDonough grad [Mike Corrigan] makes mark on music through instrument manufacturing business

... Mike Corrigan began his musical career in the band program at St. Peter's School in Waldorf, then on to McDonough with band director Richard Hood. His interest in repairing instruments blossomed under Hood, who helped him find what is now called Minnesota State College Southeast - Red Wing, one of only three institutions in the country that offered a repair technician program. From there, he took an apprentice job manufacturing custom trombones in the Boston area, where he decided to dedicate his life to this career. ...
