Institutional Accreditation

Minnesota State College Southeast is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), an independent corporation founded in 1895 as one of six regional institutional accreditors in the United States. HLC accredits degree-granting post-secondary educational institutions in 19 states in the North Central region, including Minnesota.  The HLC Mission is: "Serving the common good by assuring and advancing the quality of higher education."

Minnesota State College Southeast is committed to continually improving its programs and services.  The Open Pathway is one of three institutional accreditation pathways available through the Higher Learning Commission designed to foster the practices of Continuous Quality Improvement through regular monitoring throughout a 10-year cycle.

Within that cycle, the college completed its year-four Assurance Argument (PDF) in June 2021 and submitted it to peer reviewers at the Higher Learning Commission. The Assurance Argument provides evidence relating to HLC's Criteria for Accreditation. The resulting Assurance Argument Review Report (PDF) drives improvements at the college. 

Additional Accreditations

• The Auto Body Collision Technology program is accredited by The National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).
• The Practical Nursing and Associate of Science in Nursing programs at Minnesota State College Southeast are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
• The Radiography program is accredited by The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
• Minnesota State College Southeast is a member of the Minnesota Concurrent Enrollment Partnership (MnCEP) and the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP).

Distance Delivery Accreditation
