Purpose
This policy addresses the posting of notes, signs, flyers and posters, etc., in the buildings and throughout the grounds of Minnesota State College Southeast.
PART 1. POLICY
The intent of this policy is to provide students, faculty, staff and the community with an opportunity and space to publicize events and services at designated locations throughout the campus, while maintaining an acceptable physical environment.
It is expected that all materials posted in designated areas will be reasonably neat and attractive in the interest of the advertiser and Minnesota State College Southeast.
PART 2. PROCEDURES
1. All temporary and permanent postings must be placed on designated bulletin boards, poster rails, or other approved locations authorized by the Dean of Students or the dean’s designee. Flyers posted in undesignated areas will be removed and disposed of by MSC Southeast staff.
2. Flyers and posters should be no larger than 11x17 inches and must be dated with a hang date. All posters must be removed at the end of 3 weeks or until the event has concluded (whichever comes first) and will be removed and disposed of by college personnel.
3. All content on flyers and posters must be in alignment with MSC Southeast policies and procedures. Failure to comply will result in the removal and disposal of the posting by MSC Southeast.
4. Internal individuals who wish to post flyers on campus must post their own flyers.
5. All external organizations requesting to post information should bring their posting to the front desk/reception area of the college to be reviewed, approved and posted by college personnel. The college has the right to deny posting requests if the posting is not in alignment with MSC Southeast policies and procedures.
