PART 1. POLICY
Financial Aid disbursements are issued to students through direct deposit on each Campus. All grants and loans are disbursed to students through this process.
For Federal Direct Loan Program disbursement, a student must complete the loan acceptance process online at www.southeastmn.one/fa/dlrequest before the loan will be disbursed.
Each student must complete all requirements for disbursement at least 15 days prior to enrollment in order to receive financial aid in a timely manner. Requirements may include a request for verification of certain materials submitted in the application process.
PART 2. PROCEDURE
All federal and state grants are disbursed to the students on approximately the 14th day of each semester. A notice is sent to all students with disbursement information. For Federal Direct Loan Program disbursement, a student must complete the loan acceptance process online at www.southeastmn.one/fa/dlrequest before the loan is disbursed.
- Financial aid disbursements are based on the number of eligible credits a student has for that semester.
- If a student withdraws from a class(es) or is no longer attending Southeast, financial aid is refunded to the appropriate funding source based on the amount a student has earned when s/he ceases attendance. As a result, the student may be responsible to repay a portion of the financial aid disbursed.
